On 16 December, Typhoon Odette hit the Philippines and shattered tens of thousands of homes, leaving families without shelter and protection. UNFPA estimates that women and girls have been among the most affected by the typhoon across the country.

UNFPA teams are on the ground during the holidays to support pregnant women and girls who have lost everything.

This holiday season you can support UNFPA to provide:

  • Emergency maternal mobile and tent facilities to ensure life-saving health service for pregnant women are available.
  • Mama Kits for new mothers and their newborns, which contains basics including diapers, clothes, blankets, and soap.
  • Dignity Kits for displaced women and girls that includes the supplies needed to allow them to manage their menstruation with dignity.
  • Emergency cash assistance for internally displaced pregnant, new mothers and girls affected by the typhoon.
  • Personal protective equipment for front-line health workers to keep them safe from COVID-19.

This holiday season, make a difference in the lives of those impacted by Typhoon Odette in the Philippines.
