United Nations Population Fund Philippines Country Representative Dr Leila Joudane issued a statement in support of Executive Order No.141 declaring teen pregnancy prevention a national priority in the Philippines.

“On behalf of the United Nations Population Fund, I applaud the Philippine government for taking the important step to address the rising incident of adolescent pregnancies in the Philippines by declaring this issue as national priority. My team at the UNFPA Philippines stands ready to provide its full support in upholding this executive order and to continuously work with our key partners within the Philippine government in implementing the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act. We will continue to support the advancement of the sexual and reproductive health rights of every Filipino until no one is left behind.”
