President Arroyo will ask industrialized countries in Copenhagen, Denmark to infuse more funds to address the negative effects of climate change in highly vulnerable nations, her economic adviser said yesterday. Albay Gov. Joey Salceda said Mrs. Arroyo would push at the International Conference on Climate Change Adaptation in Copenhagen for new funds to adopt mechanisms for developing countries like the Philippines to meet their environmental concerns. Mrs. Arroyo is expected to leave for Copenhagen with a delegation of officials, including Salceda, next week.
