The Australian government has pegged an additional A$8-million or P320-million in response to the revised flash appeal of the United Nations to help typhoon victims in the country, bringing its total aid to A$11-million or P440-million. The assistance will include improving water and sanitation facilities, providing learning materials and classroom furniture, and retrofitting classrooms to make them more resilient to natural hazards.
