The Position:

The Programme Assistant contributes to the implementation of UNFPA’s 9th Country Programme (2024-2028) by providing technical and administrative support in the day-to-day management of UNFPA programmes and projects. The PA will be primarily responsible for assisting the Adolescent and Youth Unit in ensuring that UNFPA and implementing partner-executed work plans are prepared and implemented in accordance with the vision and technical direction of the CP and consistent with UNFPA organizational policies and procedures. S/he contributes to the generation of substantive knowledge by compiling, synthesizing, and analyzing relevant information from programme implementation to inform management action. S/he will help coordinate with government, non-governmental organizations, civil society, gender/youth groups, multilateral and bilateral donor agencies, United Nations agencies, and other development/humanitarian organizations.
