Introduction
Globally, UNFPA partners with young people to come up with different platforms where they can be involved in decisions affecting their lives, health and well-being, and allow them to participate in meaningful dialogues on human rights and development issues such as health, education, and livelihood, among others.

In the Philippines, the UNFPA Country Office successfully launched the KaBayanihan series, an innovative online crowdsourcing initiative that actively involves and provides the Filipino youth a safe space for dialogue with key government officials. The series aims to strengthen young people’s participation in decision-making processes and inform government policies and priorities. In addition, it aims to strengthen existing support mechanisms and services for young people and connect them to various platforms to support their education, health and economic opportunities.

The KaBayanihan series has reached at least 1.2 million Filipino young people, and a number of youth organizations which are now part of the UNFPA Youth network.
